Summer Wedding at Loseley Park

Well, what more can I ask for than a response like that after sending these photographs. I couldn’t wait to blog Sophie and Ed’s beautiful Summer wedding at Loseley Park, I had to rush these previews out there because I’ve missed this gorgeous venue and I just LOVED this couple to bits.

I knew we’d get on like a house on fire the moment Sophie and I started emailing, I don’t ever take it for granted that I have been working at the wonderful Loseley for 13 years, and know the gardens like the back of my hand (even with their enhancements and updates in the borders!) It does enable me to reassure any couples who choose this venue that I will know how to make the best of the house and grounds, in all weathers and all times of year! It was a little upsetting to see the rain return but thankfully we had some dry spells and the guests certainly didn’t mind hanging out in the great hall for their drinks reception!

Sophie and her lovely gang of bridesmaids and bridesman got ready two minutes down the road from the stunning St Michael and All Angels church in Thursley, where their beautiful ceremony was held. They had a long and petal-drenched confetti run and a swift exit in a borrowed Porsche on towards the house itself. I was joined on the day by a favourite a highly recommended videographer friend of mine, Olly, and we hot-footed it behind them to get some photos in the gardens, before the rain clouds caught up with us. It needn’t have mattered, the couple’s entrance to the hall was joyous and filled with love and stunning light as always.

A deluge later on took us over to the barn with umbrellas galore for the wedding breakfast and speeches. I don’t think Sophie & Ed’s smiles left their faces from the moment they saw one-another at the church. SUCH a dream couple to work with, not least because of course they’re both gorgeous, but because they were so relaxed and happy and you could tell enjoyed every moment. It’s all I ever ask for from my couples, stay in the moment, and keep grounded. Your story will shine. These guys certainly did and I couldn’t have wished for a better way to spend a Saturday in June.

Thank you, Sophie and Ed, and to all your families and brilliant bridal & groom parties, it was a total riot and I’d absolutely do it all again in a heartbeat! Here are my favourites from your day…x
