“We wanted to take a moment to express our deepest thanks for being a part of our wedding and for capturing it so beautifully. From the moment we met you, your calm presence was such a balm to our nerves. Your wealth of wedding knowledge was invaluable . On more than one occasion, you saved us from our clueless moments with buttonholes, bustles, and all the little details we hadn’t even thought of!
The photographs are absolutely stunning, and they truly capture the emotions and essence of the day. Every image feels like it brings us right back to those precious moments. We are so grateful you chose us and allowed us to be a part of your creative process”

London Winter Wedding at the Ironmonger’s Hall

Well, this may have been the most beautiful way to finish my 2024 wedding season. I was lucky enough to work at the stunning Ironmonger’s Hall in 2017 where I photographed Laura & Huw on their special day. It was thus a pleasant surprise to be recommended by Huw, a fellow Ironmonger who passed on my details to Oliver. Well, after mentioning their love for good wine, History of Art and Antiques, I broke my ‘no weddings in November’ rule and I couldn’t have been happier about making that decision!

When I read that the church they were to be married in was St John the Divine in Kennington, I was incredibly excited. I don’t often get to visit churches of such grandeur and witnessing a ceremony with full choir, blessings and Communion was truly special. The moment I stepped into their beautiful home, I was blown away by Claire’s calm and serene demeanour. She looked quite simply breathtaking in her dress, and I knew Oliver would feel the same. What followed in the slightly unfavourable yet rather dramatic and romantic, stormy weather, was an atmosphere that remained. Class, elegance, respect and quiet moments of joy and pride.

All the guests were a pleasure to meet and capture, and to bear witness to such a special occasion between two people who adore one-another in such historic and special surroundings left me feeling very lucky. Having the opportunity to work with coples such as Claire and Oliver will always remind me how fortunate I am. I never take it for granted that people resonate with my work and that couples continue to recommend me years later, so thank you, to Laura & Huw (was fabulous to see you again) and of course to Oliver & Claire, you two were incredible lovely to be around, and a joy to photograph. Here are some of my favourites from your day.
