Pre-wedding sessions – Surrey
Pre-wedding loveliness. Occasionally my couples will ask if I do engagement shoots. I generally refer to these as pre-wedding shoots as I treat these as a really nice way to ‘warm up’ if you’re feeling particularly panicky about this part of your wedding day.
I think the best advice I can give anyone feeling anxious, is that this is a day like no other, there will be so much going on you won’t even have a moment to worry. It’s actually such a lovely and calm part of an otherwise busy or chaotic (in the best kind of way!) day. The time you have just for the two of you is so fleeting on the day, and I always want my couples to feel as though this is ‘their’ time, rather than a ‘photo-shoot’. It’s for this reason that I never force anyone to have a pre-wedding shoot, as I truly believe no-one needs one.
That said, it’s a really fun way to re-connect in amongst the wedding planning madness, and also have another set of lovely images to treasure alongside those in your wedding outfits! I’ve put together a few of my favourite images from shoots over the last few years to give you an idea of what to expect. Hopefully these show how I give a little more direction during these sessions, as well as focusing on the natural moments between the two of you.
If you’re thinking of having a pre-wedding session, I need around 2-3 months notice, so do get in touch to avoid disappointment, these sessions are best held in Spring or Autumn.
