“We just wanted to thank you again. You were truly incredible in the lead up to and on our wedding day! You have such a calming presence, yet you can dominate and organise a crowd with no effort at all….You have a true talent as a photographer, and made us feel at such ease when capturing the day. Not only are you an incredible photographer, you also cared about us as a couple on the day – and went above and beyond to help/ensure we were comfortable – and that didn’t go unnoticed.
We absolutely love the pictures, and have had so much fun re-living the day looking back on them all over the past few days! There are so many stunning shots, and some absolutely iconic shots in there! We are so happy we chose you for our special day – you honestly felt like one of our guests!!
WE LOVE YOU!!”
A Summer at Minley Manor. What a venue! Truly iconic…and so close to where I live I can’t believe it’s taken this long to do a wedding there! It just goes to show that there are so many unknown venues and more places to discover every season. It’s one thing I adore about this job, discovering new places and seeing what they have to offer, and this place honestly had it all. If you’re in your early days of planning, I can’t recommend it more highly!
Back to the gorgeous couple at hand, Hester and Adam, boy oh boy I was not expecting to fall so hard for these two!! We had double prep, huge thanks to my second shooter Emmie Scott, who covered Adam and the guys, and I was with the brilliant Hester and her gorgeous gang of girls, who quite honestly were exactly who you need on a wedding day.
The heat was rising and we knew it was going to be a warm one, well couple that heat with about 250 guests (possibly, I lost count) and the MOST INSANE DJ and band to ever perform (reader, they were on ALL DAY) and dancing upon dancing, and you have yourself a bonafide sweat-fest. Somehow despite it all, Hester remained totally flawless til the very end, so kudos to her talented team of hair and make up artists, not that they had a tricky canvas to work on with beautiful Hest!
I grew closer and closer to these guys throughout the day, all their guests were amazing, everyone got stuck in, it truly was one of those dream days as a wedding photographer, and the reason it took me 18 months to blog, was because I delivered over 1250 photos and choosing 100 was actually painful. But I got there in the end!
It was also lovely to work alongside Helen Noble again, she is a fantastic and funny celebrant, and of course meet the team at Minley, plus working with my favourites Jacaranda with Minty Moore running the show so smoothly. Flowers were by the wonderful Nordic Twigs, and the cake was by Hester herself, who is a phenomenal cake maker! All in all, the best day, with the best couple. Hester & Adam, I know you have your hands full now with two small people, but can we do it all again in 10 years please!!
